Electrical Installation Condition Reports

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR or Mains Wiring Testing) is a vital element of any property's health and safety needs.  All commercial premises (including domestic lettings) are required to be periodically inspected and tested. The report comprises both the inspection and testing of the condition of an existing electrical installation, in order to identify any deficiencies.

An EICR will:

  • Find any fire hazards or potential electrical shock risks in the installation
  • Identify any defective DIY electrical work
  • Highlight any lack of earthing or bonding
  • Report if any electrical circuits or equipment is overloaded
